People and Reactions

Phases 1 and 2 of our 50-State Prayer Journey have been completed.  Dixie and I “painted” the Lower 48 States and D.C. with anointed tires, saluted borders while crossing, and planted “Appeal To Heaven” Flags in each.  We interceded, decreed, and declared throughout.  Only Hawaii and Alaska remain; Phase 3.

Our route provided “Divine Encounters” with “We The People”, and revealed they knew America is in trouble and needs prayer.  Of this, diverse ages, genders, races, religions, ethnicities, and professions agreed.  Reactions to our mission were favorable.

Some examples:

P1 – 21 Apr:  At the Josiah Company Convocation in Conway, AR Clay Nash suggested we plant an Appeal To Heaven (A2H) Flag on Mount Magazine’s Summit; high elevation point of the State.  We did, and when Dixie told our hotel clerk about it she fell into a respectful silence.

P1 – 25 Apr:  While at a Rest Stop at Oklahoma City we planted an A2H Flag in view of several busloads of illegal aliens, some sitting in the shade under guard.  We interceded for them from within our truck and some saw us.  As we departed some waved.

P1 – 26 Apr:  A couple from CA watched us attach an A2H Flag to the A-pillar of the lead Cadillac at Cadillac Ranch near Amarillo, TX and asked what it meant.  We explained our mission, they looked astonished, and said “Who does this kind of thing?”  Then they added that they had travelled from Silicon Valley, California just to see Cadillac Ranch, met us quite by chance, and sincerely thanked us for praying for America.  Could we also pray for California?  Sure, we said.

P1 – 27 Apr:  On an elevator at our hotel in Gallup, NM we met a Navajo cleaning lady still wearing a covid mask mandated by her tribal leaders.  We told her about our mission and that we were also praying for the reconciliation of the Indigenous Peoples.  A bright smile appeared in her eyes.

P1 – 29 Apr:  We pulled into Miles City, Montana for gas and food and met an older man cleaning tables at Arby’s.  He noticed our Florida license plate and commented that we were a long way from home.  When I explained our mission he seemed genuinely surprised and appreciative because he knew America was a mess.  He asked if he could have an A2H Flag and said he would join us in our prayers.  We gave it to him; and told him he was joining many thousands of prayer warriors like us.

P1 – 1 May:  In Dickinson, ND we met a Ukrainian woman servicing our hotel’s food court.  We told her about our mission, then surprised her again by telling her we were actively praying about the Ukraine War.  She told us there was a sizable Ukrainian Community in Dickinson with many crop and dairy farmers, asked us for a Flag, and said she would tell her friends about us.  Interestingly, “Cowzilla” was just down the road near New Salem.  A Divine Connection?

P1 – 2 May:  At St Ignace, MI Dixie and I went outside to photograph the sunrise and met two Oakland University students; one in Computer Science and one in Bio Engineering.  When I told them why we were there they said they had never heard of such a thing, but knew America was in trouble, and thanked us for what we were doing.  We told them a tsunami was coming.

P2 – 14 Aug:  At the St Louis Arch a family with teenagers watched Dixie take my picture while I planted an A2H Flag, were familiar with it, and asked questions.  They were Christians, were visiting from Bozeman, MT, and were astonished to hear that we had planted a Flag there in late April.  We gave them a Flag and they committed to telling their church about our mission and praying for us.  The Gateway To The West had become a Gateway To Revival.

P2 – 15 Aug:  When checking in at Limon, CO we told the young clerk what we were doing and he joked by saying that God had most certainly led us to the end of the world; explaining that the young people in Limon said it stood for “Living In the Middle Of Nowhere.  Truly funny.  During breakfast the next morning we witnessed to a farmer and his wife from Dyersville, IA.  When they learned that Iowa was on our route they suggested we plant an A2H Flag at the Field Of Dreams Movie Site near their home.  We did.  The Flag was planted on 20 Aug; propped up by a fielder’s mitt laid on Home Plate.  We gave the Gatekeeper a Flag.

P2 – 16 Aug:  On the Summit of Pike’s Peak, CO we asked a Muslim woman wearing a hijab to take our picture while planting an A2H Flag and explained why we were there.  She was quick to say she was not Christian but graciously commended us for our sincerity and said she would join us in our prayers – for America was”indeed in need”.

P2 – 18 Aug:  At Mount Rushmore, SD we introduced ourselves to a Vietnam Vet in black ball cap, his Vietnamese wife and their other military family members that were present.  We swapped war stories and explained our intercessory mission.  They were intrigued, grateful, and asked how to donate to our mission.  We gave them an A2H Flag before departing.

P2 – 18 Aug:  We explained our mission to a clerk at the Visitor’s Center at Belle Fourche, SD and asked permission to pray while standing on the Center Marker of the Nation.  She was surprised by our request but agreed and watched us as we declared that God’s Kingdom and the United States were One, according to Ezekiel 37.  When done, she thanked us, said that this was a new one for her, and that she hoped we would be successful in our effort.  We said we would; that it was already a done deal as we were part of thousands doing this kind of thing ahead of a massive worldwide revival.  She was smiling big when we left.

P2 – 19 Aug:  Within sight of Devils Tower, WY we pulled into an observation point next to an older man in a late 40’s Panel Truck who was on his way to an antique car show near the base of The Tower.  After hearing our story he asked for a Flag, attached it to his Panel Truck, and we saw it displayed at the car show later that day.  While hiking at the base of Devils Tower we met a couple in parking lot of Devils Tower who had moved from central FL to rural WY to escape woke Disney.  We gave them an A2H Flag and urged them to pray for America.

P2 – 20 Aug:  We arrived at the State Capitol Building in Springfield, IL at dusk, parked, and noticed a Black Police Officer patrolling on foot who followed us to the front of the facility.  In silence, he watched us pray for America and plant an A2H Flag in a flower pot at the site of Lincoln’s “House Divided” Speech.  There was a bronze sculpture of a Young Lincoln there; as he would have looked when he debated Stephen Douglas.  The Officer seemed to comprehend the significance of what we were doing, said nothing., and gave us a thumbs up as we left.

There were many more encounters like these.  Truly, America seems to be Waking Up.
